As most of you know this upcoming Wednesday is Why Jesus? , this event has been planned for at least the past four months and it is finally coming to fruitation. God has used this event to teach me a lot, ranging from faith, prayer, and how to deal with failure. One of the most important thing it has given me is a heart for those who don’t know Christ. One verse that has been a conerstone in preparing for Wednesday is in Ephesians Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) I’ve been in constant pray for God’s Spirit to absolutely flood the ampitheater that night but I don’t think that is all he has in store for us.
What if 100 people give there lives to Christ?
What if Why Jesus? overflows and there is a campus wide revival, where people are absolutley fired up about Christ?
What if this becomes a regular thing where people are constantly coming to the Kingdom of God?
What if this revival spread back to each of our homes over the summer and U.S.A once again became a true Christian Nation?
How about if only one person’s life is forever changed? Personally anyone of those scenarios would blow my mind. In Luke 15:10 it says; “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” That verse didn’t really sink fully until church tonight when someone in the row behind me stood up and accepted Christ. I was utterly overwelmed hearing them say the sinner’s prayer, and thought to myself that Why Jesus? might be so that one person can come to know Jesus and if that is the case we all should be rejoicing. But who are we to even attempt to put limitations on what God is about to do on this campus. For those of you who are planning on attending this Wednesday, please bring your classmates and your friends. I pray everyday that this campus be overwhelmed with the presence of God. We need everyone’s prayer more than anything right now and have faith cause God will do IMMEASURABLY more then any of us can fathom.
